About MG Siegler

mgMG Siegler has made a name for himself on the Internet. No, literally.
His real name may or may not be Matthew Glenn Siegler, but he's known better around these parts simply as "MG" - which he may tell you stands for "Machine Gun".
MG is a writer on technology and digital media for VentureBeat and is the voice behind ParisLemon, his popular blog.
MG is also the creator of the Elite Tech Reddit (aka l33t Tech Reddit) and is credited with coining the term "Bitchmeme".
He also runs Review In Haiku, a site devoted to film reviews in haiku format, Trashing Trailers, a site dealing with movie trailer reviews, and TecHaiku, a site that dishes out the lastest news in tech in haiku format. His smaller thoughts can be found at ParisLime.
He's previously written for Pronet Advertising and mentored users for Mahalo.
MG has been cited numerous times by various large websites and publications. Some highlights include: CNNMoney, Fox Business, The Chicago Tribune, The Houston Chronicle, The Seattle Post Intelligencer, MSNBC, Business 2.0, TechCrunch, Mashable, Scobleizer, Micro Persuasion, Webb Alert, ZDNet, WebProNews, Seeking Alpha, John Battelle's Searchblog, Computerworld and InformationWeek.
He has also has been featured as one of The Wall Street Journal's All Things Digital Voices.
MG's work has been on the main pages of Digg, Propeller (formerly Netscape), and Reddit and he is a mainstay on Technorati, Blogrunner, and Techmeme where he can be found prominently on the leaderboard among the most influential tech writers in the world. In fact, in a recent survey of the Top Tech Bloggers, MG appeared twice on the list, at #34 and #38 for his work on VentureBeat and ParisLemon respectively. Had these statistics been combined, MG would rank as the #7 tech blogger out there today.
His work is also frequently re-published via Reuters and he participated in the Open Web Awards as a blog partner and judge.
MG also routinely wakes himself up during the night from laughter in dreams.
